Dr. Andreas Möller
Dr. Andreas Möller is the newly appointed Global STEM Professor of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Director of the JC Lab of Precision Cancer Medicine at the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences, Hong Kong. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences at the Queensland University of Technology.
Previously, Dr Möller was Group Leader of the Tumour Microenvironment Laboratory at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Brisbane, Australia, and an Associate Professor within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland.
Dr Möller received his doctoral training at the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, Germany, followed by postdoctoral training at the University of Bern, Switzerland, and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
An expert in cancer metastasis and cancer immunology, Dr Möller has more than 15 years of experience in the extracellular vesicle (EV) field. He is an elected Board Member of the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles and an Executive Board Member of the Asian Pacific Societies for Extracellular Vesicles.
An internationally recognised leader in the field, with a Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) greater than 19, Dr Möller's research is driven by clinical collaborations, patents and commercial partnerships. His work focuses on advancing our understanding of the role of EVs in cancer progression and their potential use as cancer biomarkers.
